Specially Designed for Museums and Galleries

GroGlass has several options available specifically for museums and galleries offering additional protection from physical damage:

  • Extra-large panes — (up to 2200 x 3300mm) — used specifically for framing large works on paper. An ideal 3mm thickness provides more rigidity than 2mm, but without the weight of a 4mm substrate.
  • Bullet resistant and burglary resistant – Artglass combines invisibility with the ultimate protection. Laminated Artglass is shatterproof for protection against splinters or vandalism, and offers up to 100% UV protection.
  • Anti-reflective glass for displaying three-dimensional art in boxes – When it comes to displaying three-dimensional art, collectibles and other valuables, Artglass provides invisibility with needed UV protection.
  • Artglass AR offers 70% protection from harmful ultraviolet light. For high-value and archival applications where further protection is required, Artglass UV blocks 92% of ultraviolet rays.
  • Facility improvements for older buildings - Invisible facades can be created for older buildings by using double-glazing, tempered, and thicker substrates up to 2200 x 3300mm.
