GroGlass Crystal is a high-efficiency anti-reflective coating used to increase light transmission through the cover glass surface of the solar panel. It can be applied to any flat, matt or patterned substrate. The result? Increased light transmission by up to 4.5% in the quantum efficiency spectrum of crystalline silicon solar cells.
GroGlass Crystal provides more diffused light—specifically for solar modules—and is highly durable. It also provides:

GroGlass Crystal coating increases the transmission of light within the spectral range of high quantum efficiency of cSi photovoltaic cells. It also increases the energy output of photovoltaic modules.

GroGlass Crystal reduces the transmission of sun’s energy (infra-red) that is not converted into electricity.

GroGlass Crystal thin film coating on glass increases the transmission of light in the quantum efficiency spectrum 3.7% throughout the whole day.

GroGlass Crystal is designed specifically for monocrystalline and multicrystalline silicon wafer modules, optimized with spectral response curve in mind.
Our product takes into consideration:
- Cell light wavelength sensitivity
- Temperature conditions and need to reject heat in the spectrum that cells do not use for energy production
- The sun's position over solar panel during the day and the year (angle of light beam incidence)
GroGlass Crystal is optimised to perform equally well under direct and diffuse lighting conditions.
Durability
GroGlass Crystal is specifically designed to withstand the harsh effects of intense UV radiation, acid rain, interior and exterior condensation, salt air from the ocean, windborne particle abrasion and frost-thaw cycles. GroGlass Crystal has successfully passed EU standard EN 1096-2 which defines the durability requirements for glass with external surface coatings.
